Mass to Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month
SJCP held a Mass to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month in October. Many of the prayers and readings were in Spanish and Spanish Teacher, Señora Russell spoke of the significance of Mary in the Hispanic culture. Fr. Juan Vasquez-Rubio from Saint Timothy’s parish in Walkersville shared his reflections on the topic of hospitality and how we come to mass to celebrate who we are as a family. In Hispanic culture, everyone is seen as a friend, and his family is his whole town! Thank you to Fr. Juan Vasquez-Rubio for celebrating Mass with us and to our students who helped plan this special Mass.
